The roller is the main part of the cold roll forming machine. Therefore, the design of the roller is very important, its design features are as follows:


1. According to the principle of average stress in each pass of the cold roll forming machine, the average stress and wear of the roller are balanced, so as to increase the service life of the roller.


2. The anti-wear property of the roller material should be used. The specific strength and hardness are contradictory. During heat treatment, the red hardness of C12MOV should be used. After quenching, the hardness can be achieved only after two or three times of tempering.


3. The circular arc part of the track is the main part of the cold bending machine. The circular arc is formed in the first several passes. When the vertical edge is rolled in the second pass, the formed circular arc is protected by the upper and lower rollers or cross wheels. Otherwise, the arc position of the material will change during the stretching process, R becomes smaller and becomes triangular, and when R becomes larger, the matching rail will shake, the force is uneven, the sliding rail will deform, and the service life will be reduced.


4. Rolling stability. In production, we often encounter the problem of material swinging left and right in the raceway. In fact, that is because a single group of rollers is asymmetric, the left side bears a large force, and the material is swinging to the right side; the right side bears a large force, and the material is swinging to the left side.
