After being melted at a high temperature (above 1450°C), the molten basalt is spun into inorganic fibers using a high-speed centrifugal device. Specialized binders and anti-dust oils are then added. The fibers are laid down in layers using drum-forming and pendulum systems, and with the aid of dedicated equipment, their arrangement is transformed into a three-dimensional chaotic structure. The final product is a new type of lightweight insulation material formed through a curing process.


    Depending on different applications, the production line can yield various forms such as rock wool panels, rock wool blankets, and rock wool shells. In building insulation, rock wool is primarily used for walls, roofs, doors, and floors, with wall insulation being the most crucial application.


    In industrial insulation, rock wool is widely used for industrial tanks, boilers, and heat exchangers, and also for insulation and fire protection of ship cabins and ceilings. Rock wool blankets are suitable for insulating complex shapes and high-temperature equipment, while rock wool belts are commonly used for large-diameter pipelines and storage tanks.


    Additionally, in some developed countries, granular rock wool is manufactured for ceiling and wall insulation in residential buildings. It can also be used as a spray-on material for coating walls, columns, or furnace surfaces for fireproofing and insulation purposes.
