Introduction to the Main Equipment of Rock Wool Board Production Line

Using the rock wool production line equipment, the rock wool board produced is melted into fibers at high temperatures, mixed with suitable amounts of binder, and then solidified and processed. It is widely used in industries such as ships, metallurgy, electricity, and construction, and has good thermal insulation and sound insulation effects. It is easy to construct and install, has significant energy-saving effects, and has a high performance-price ratio. Rock wool board is a new type of thermal insulation, fireproofing, and sound-absorbing material.


Application Area of the Rock Wool Production Line


The rock wool production line has been widely used in construction, metallurgy, ships, electricity, and other fields. The specific system configuration of the rock wool composite board is introduced. The system architecture of the rock wool production line includes: the bonding layer, insulation layer, finishing layer, decorative layer, and accessories. The adhesive layer is between the bottom layer and the surface layer, and the two layers are first bonded firmly together with an adhesive material.


Main Equipment of the Rock Wool Board Production Line


Melting Section


The melting section consists of a furnace (cupola or gas pool furnace), a four-roller centrifuge, and a feeding machine.


The cupola is used for melting rocks (slag) and has a cooling water circulation system to ensure its safety. It is equipped with a hot air system that preheats the furnace temperature, enabling energy efficiency. It adopts a single-row, multi-air eye structure and is equipped with an air volume control valve for easy operation.


The pool furnace is built with refractory materials and natural gas is sprayed into the pool to melt the raw materials.


The four-roller centrifuge is the main equipment for producing rock wool and slag wool in the rock wool production line. The produced centrifuge is a split type with adjustable roller positions, featuring reliable operation, high efficiency, good fiber quality, and easy maintenance.


Cotton Collection Box Equipment


The equipment's cotton collection box adopts vertical cotton collection function. The centrifugal spinning machine throws the melted lava flow into the cotton collector, and negative pressure air jets the fibers onto the conveyor belt to form the original felt. The conveyor belt transports the original felt to the swinging cotton laying machine for cotton laying. The swinging motion ensures uniform thickness of the cotton layer, significantly improving the quality of the products.


Board Making Section


The board making section consists of a cotton laying machine, solidification and forging equipment, cooling cutting machine, power system, and hot air furnace.


  • Solidification and Forging: Solidification and forging is the equipment for product molding. The original felt from the swinging cotton laying machine is conveyed to the solidification and forging equipment, where it moves forward between the upper and lower conveyor belts. The hot air blowing machine blows hot air onto the cotton blanket inside the solidification and forging equipment, solidifying it into the desired shape.


  • Cutting Machine: The cutting machine is used for cutting the solidified products. It performs longitudinal cutting first, followed by horizontal cutting.
